Deep Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS)

At Advance Wellness Centre we use the latest technology available from Brainsway to deliver Deep TMS treatment which is an innovative and effective treatment option for depression. Deep TMS is a non-invasive and innovative treatment that is successfully transforming the lives of patients who are suffering from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). 

There is evidence in the literature that about 33% of MDD patients are resistant to any medication and 52% fail to respond to first-line therapy. Health Canada and the FDA have approved this life-saving treatment modality. The treatment is well-tolerated and has been demonstrated to be effective in several clinical trials.

The Brainsway treatment method stimulates deep and broad neuronal targets. The treatment involves deep magnetic stimulation of the bilateral prefrontal cortex, which has been shown to be responsible for depression, and has been shown to significantly improve depression symptoms in many patients, leading to remission in about one third of patients.
